Melco, Inc. is a real estate development and management company based in Winchester, VA. The company is solely owned by Christopher A. (Kit) Molden, a Winchester native. Melco, Inc. develops, owns and manages multi-family and commercial properties in the Winchester area.

Founded in 1948 by Mr. Molden's father, Everette L. (Ed) Molden (1914-2007), as Molden Electric Company, the firm quickly became one of the leading electrical contractors and appliance dealers in the area. Mr. Molden joined Melco in 1976 after graduating from Virginia Tech (Bachelor of Architecture). By that time, Melco was involved exclusively in real estate and multi-family housing development. Mr. Molden learned the business from the ground up, serving at various times as a designer, property manager, construction supervisor, project manager, and now as Chief Operating Officer.

The Company’s main focus is to place a high priority on the quality control of the development, construction, management, and maintenance process. Our mission is simple - "We strive to provide the best possible customer service to our residential and commercial tenants and to maintain all of our properties to a consistently high level. In developing new projects, we place the highest priority on quality design, architecture and construction."
